Two Scorpios, one powerful vision.

Meet the Founders, Kristin and Ali.

Arrow pointing right

It’s giving POWER COUPLE. 👏 OAP started with two queer leaders who wanted more than rainbow capitalism and bar nights. Here’s who’s behind the movement…

Kristin: The Pulse of the People

Kristin is the connector and community force of OAP. With roots in Orlando’s queer scene and a deep commitment to authentic connection, she keeps the energy alive, builds partnerships, and ensures OAP stays people-centered at every step.

Ali: The Anchor of Structure

Ali is the strategist, organizer, marketer, and builder behind OAP. With a background in growing organizations and a passion for queer advocacy, Ali makes sure OAP has the systems, structure, and direction to grow without losing its grassroots heart.

Why We Started This

”We’re not career nonprofit people. We’re just two queer humans who are tapped the fuck into who we are and what our community actually needs.

When the opportunity for a platform presented itself, we didn’t think twice. We knew the only responsible thing to do with our privilege and visibility was to use it — not for ourselves, but to carve out a safe space for the people who haven’t had one. For the folks who can’t always be out. For the ones who don’t feel like they fit in at Pride, or who are tired of spaces that reduce us to hookups or stereotypes.

This project was never about being professional or polished. It was about being real. Creating something honest and lasting. Something that reflects the kind of community we’ve always needed, and that so many others need too.

That’s the spirit we bring to Orlando Advocacy Project. No ego, no performance — just queer people showing up for queer people.”
